DESCRIPTION:When Domestic Violence Comes Home: understanding the complexity and depth of domestic violence in our local community – and what we can do to prevent it.  \nThe event will start at 8 am with a light breakfast (thanks Nurture the Next) and the day will consist of our keynote speaker\, breakouts and a panel discussion from local community leaders who are currently working to support survivors of domestic violence. We will have a lunch break\, sponsored by Parkridge Hospital\, and light snacks and fresh Mad Priest coffee in the afternoon to keep us going till we end at 4 pm. The entire event is free.  \nDr. Christina Policastro is our keynote speaker to help us understand the history\, causes\, and effects of domestic violence and many other relevant breakout groups for building awareness and learning about resources that are available to survivors in the community. \nI hope you can register and join us on the day!
